Training Course on Surface Treatment and Coating for Steel
Date: 1 – 2 July 2026 (Wednesday – Thursday)
Venue: MISIF Training Room, Shah Alam, Selangor
Fee: RM1,500 per participant (MISIF Member)
Note: Course is HRD Corp claimable (SBL-Khas Scheme)
The course will be facilitated by Associate Professor Dr. Nurulakmal binti Mohd Sharif and Dr. Tuti Katrina binti Abdullah from the School of Materials and Mineral Resources, Engineering Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Please find attached the brochure for further details of the training course.
This course is designed for engineers, maintenance engineers, managers, and supervisors who wish to enhance their knowledge of surface treatment and coating processes for steel components, particularly for corrosion protection and wear resistance. The course focuses on several commonly used techniques, including surface hardening, chemical surface treatment, electroplating, electroless plating, hot-dip galvanizing, and anodization for metal components.
MISIF members who contribute to HRD Corp may apply under the HRD Corp Claimable Course Scheme (formerly known as the SBL-Khas Scheme).
